At 0715 you fix your position 224°T, 2.3 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 294°T at 5.0 kn until 0730, then 028°T at 4.4 kn until 0745.

Give the 0745 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
