At 1455 you fix your position 211°T, 1.6 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 156°T at 8.3 kn until 1510, then 262°T at 5.0 kn until 1540.

Give the 1540 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
