At 0825 you fix your position 029°T, 2.8 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 154°T at 6.7 kn until 0910, then 251°T at 6.5 kn until 0920.

Give the 0920 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
