At 0935 you fix your position 070°T, 2.7 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 347°T at 4.6 kn until 0945, then 149°T at 6.7 kn until 1000.

Give the 1000 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
