At 1445 you fix your position 293°T, 4.2 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 222°T at 5.5 kn until 1500, then 135°T at 8.1 kn until 1520.

Give the 1520 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
