At 0910 you fix your position 288°T, 3.2 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 173°T at 7.8 kn until 0940, then 269°T at 7.7 kn until 0950.

Give the 0950 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
