At 0750 you fix your position 251°T, 2.1 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 219°T at 5.6 kn until 0805, then 160°T at 4.8 kn until 0825.

Give the 0825 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
