At 1600 you fix your position 064°T, 4.9 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 232°T at 9.7 kn until 1610, then 180°T at 5.0 kn until 1645.

Give the 1645 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
