At 1525 you fix your position 090°T, 2.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 065°T at 5.3 kn until 1555, then 281°T at 9.2 kn until 1605.

Give the 1605 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
