At 0835 you fix your position 075°T, 4.1 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 178°T at 8.0 kn until 0855, then 232°T at 8.9 kn until 0925.

Give the 0925 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
