At 1500 you fix your position 249°T, 1.8 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 085°T at 7.8 kn until 1535, then 002°T at 4.6 kn until 1610.

Give the 1610 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
