At 1205 you fix your position 209°T, 2.2 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 258°T at 9.0 kn until 1225, then 056°T at 5.3 kn until 1255.

Give the 1255 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
