At 0915 you fix your position 067°T, 4.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 191°T at 6.5 kn until 0940, then 093°T at 7.9 kn until 0950.

Give the 0950 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
