At 0830 you fix your position 303°T, 2.1 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 228°T at 4.3 kn until 0910, then 034°T at 9.1 kn until 0925.

Give the 0925 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
