At 1150 you fix your position 254°T, 3.3 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 324°T at 6.1 kn until 1200, then 166°T at 4.7 kn until 1210.

Give the 1210 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
