At 1120 you fix your position 000°T, 1.7 nm from Mill stack. You steer 001°T at 4.6 kn until 1145, then 231°T at 6.0 kn until 1205.

Give the 1205 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
