At 1220 you fix your position 284°T, 3.3 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 206°T at 8.5 kn until 1240, then 002°T at 5.1 kn until 1315.

Give the 1315 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
