At 1110 you fix your position 199°T, 2.2 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 335°T at 5.7 kn until 1120, then 303°T at 7.7 kn until 1150.

Give the 1150 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
