At 1350 you fix your position 031°T, 3.7 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 301°T at 5.4 kn until 1425, then 196°T at 4.4 kn until 1435.

Give the 1435 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
