At 1050 you fix your position 262°T, 1.7 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 257°T at 6.4 kn until 1130, then 133°T at 7.6 kn until 1205.

Give the 1205 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
