At 0805 you fix your position 150°T, 1.7 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 126°T at 4.3 kn until 0840, then 335°T at 4.7 kn until 0850.

Give the 0850 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
