At 1130 you fix your position 068°T, 2.1 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 080°T at 5.7 kn until 1140, then 356°T at 7.4 kn until 1200.

Give the 1200 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
