At 0950 you fix your position 261°T, 2.8 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 078°T at 6.7 kn until 1005, then 029°T at 7.2 kn until 1045.

Give the 1045 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
