At 1550 you fix your position 089°T, 2.5 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 080°T at 4.9 kn until 1630, then 283°T at 4.7 kn until 1650.

Give the 1650 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
