At 0855 you fix your position 263°T, 2.2 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 297°T at 8.1 kn until 0915, then 195°T at 5.5 kn until 0925.

Give the 0925 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
