At 1100 you fix your position 208°T, 1.6 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 091°T at 5.4 kn until 1130, then 028°T at 6.1 kn until 1205.

Give the 1205 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
