At 1150 you fix your position 308°T, 3.8 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 222°T at 4.4 kn until 1230, then 340°T at 6.0 kn until 1250.

Give the 1250 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
