At 0710 you fix your position 054°T, 1.4 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 287°T at 5.3 kn until 0725, then 114°T at 6.0 kn until 0735.

Give the 0735 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
