At 0815 you fix your position 065°T, 3.3 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 304°T at 6.9 kn until 0840, then 174°T at 7.4 kn until 0920.

Give the 0920 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
