At 1015 you fix your position 059°T, 2.0 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 083°T at 9.3 kn until 1035, then 354°T at 7.2 kn until 1050.

Give the 1050 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
