At 1440 you fix your position 053°T, 1.6 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 147°T at 5.1 kn until 1505, then 032°T at 6.3 kn until 1545.

Give the 1545 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
