At 0920 you fix your position 119°T, 2.0 nm from Westfield church spire. You steer 111°T at 6.3 kn until 0945, then 018°T at 4.4 kn until 1030.

Give the 1030 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
