At 0845 you fix your position 069°T, 2.4 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 016°T at 7.8 kn until 0910, then 191°T at 6.2 kn until 0925.

Give the 0925 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
