At 0910 you fix your position 032°T, 3.2 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 204°T at 5.6 kn until 0925, then 022°T at 9.3 kn until 0945.

Give the 0945 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
