At 0700 you fix your position 233°T, 3.4 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 135°T at 6.0 kn until 0745, then 323°T at 5.6 kn until 0805.

Give the 0805 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
