At 1550 you fix your position 352°T, 1.6 nm from Mill stack. You steer 270°T at 7.0 kn until 1605, then 303°T at 6.4 kn until 1615.

Give the 1615 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
