At 1120 you fix your position 338°T, 2.4 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 233°T at 6.8 kn until 1145, then 106°T at 5.1 kn until 1155.

Give the 1155 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
