At 0935 you fix your position 356°T, 1.2 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 264°T at 7.2 kn until 1015, then 059°T at 8.4 kn until 1030.

Give the 1030 DR position as the true bearing FROM Tern Island tower to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
