At 1555 you fix your position 295°T, 2.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 249°T at 8.5 kn until 1620, then 346°T at 4.8 kn until 1645.

Give the 1645 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
