At 0915 you fix your position 096°T, 1.0 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 239°T at 9.0 kn until 0945, then 033°T at 4.4 kn until 0955.

Give the 0955 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
