At 0705 you fix your position 068°T, 3.0 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 165°T at 9.8 kn until 0725, then 081°T at 8.7 kn until 0735.

Give the 0735 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
