At 0825 you fix your position 206°T, 1.6 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 269°T at 7.2 kn until 0905, then 080°T at 6.7 kn until 0925.

Give the 0925 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
