At 0940 you fix your position 237°T, 2.7 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 090°T at 4.6 kn until 1025, then 193°T at 8.3 kn until 1045.

Give the 1045 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
