At 1455 you fix your position 050°T, 1.5 nm from Kittle water tank. You steer 282°T at 9.1 kn until 1520, then 107°T at 9.7 kn until 1530.

Give the 1530 DR position as the true bearing FROM Kittle water tank to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
