At 0835 you fix your position 245°T, 3.5 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 106°T at 7.2 kn until 0900, then 211°T at 8.6 kn until 0925.

Give the 0925 DR position as the true bearing FROM Mill stack to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
