At 1310 you fix your position 067°T, 1.6 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 105°T at 4.6 kn until 1325, then 324°T at 8.6 kn until 1400.

Give the 1400 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
