At 1310 you fix your position 042°T, 2.3 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 087°T at 6.0 kn until 1320, then 177°T at 9.7 kn until 1350.

Give the 1350 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
