At 0825 you fix your position 223°T, 1.4 nm from Gannet Rock daybeacon. You steer 332°T at 6.9 kn until 0835, then 142°T at 5.7 kn until 0855.

Give the 0855 DR position as the true bearing FROM Gannet Rock daybeacon to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.
