At 0910 you fix your position 026°T, 2.5 nm from Heron Point Light. You steer 349°T at 4.5 kn until 0930, then 181°T at 6.1 kn until 0950.

Give the 0950 DR position as the true bearing FROM Heron Point Light to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
