At 1555 you fix your position 254°T, 2.4 nm from Tern Island tower. You steer 204°T at 5.8 kn until 1610, then 300°T at 10.0 kn until 1625.

Give the 1625 DR position as the true bearing FROM Westfield church spire to the DR, and the distance. Courses are true and speeds are through the water; dead reckoning ignores current and leeway.

Tolerance: 2° and 0.15 nm (or 4 % of the distance).
